Sharing Our Gifts Freely (Friday, June 24th – Monday, June 27th) 2016
We gathered together once again in the Blue Ridge Mountains along a pristine river for three days to offer our love freely, knowing that we are the medicine and the gift. Like colored gems in a divine mosaic, we each brought our own precious heartfelt contribution to the whole.
We experienced heart and mind opening workshops, events and celebrations – including Tantra, Singing, Sacred Relationship, Qi Gong, Sound Healing, Yoga, Shamanic Breath Work and Awakening, Keys to Empowerment, Ecstatic Dance, Song and Fire Circle, Musical Performances, Ceremony and Celebrations.

What should you bring? This year, in the spirit of “Giving Freely”, we will be doing the entire event by donation, including food. So we will not be catering meals this year. Instead we are going to do one themed communal potluck dinner each night with the organic food you and others bring to share.
Friday night will be Mexican food, Saturday night will be Italian food and Sunday night will be Barbecue night. Please bring food items to contribute to these themed communal potluck dinners. You are welcome to prepare your own breakfasts, lunches and snacks in the kitchen from food you bring. Refrigeration and ice will be available.
Suggested organic food to bring for communal dinners: Mexican night – chips, salsa, beans, rice, tortillas, sauces, avocados, shredded cheese, sour cream, onions, meats, tempeh, veggies, etc. Italian night – pasta sauces, cheeses for lasagna, veggies, pasta (gluten free and organic wheat) Sunday Barbecue – vegetables, meats, tempeh and other items to grill.
Bring your own bedding, pillows, yoga mats and towels for the bunk beds or a tent if camping outside. Note – No camping in woods in tents or hammocks due to the danger of falling branches from dead Hemlock trees. Outdoor camping in tents in open field only.
Bunks in the bunk house will be given this year on first come first served basis. Camp LovEvolution is at over 3,000 feet. So bring sweaters and a flash light for night time.
Also bring instruments to play at the dance and drumming circle, a costume for Friday night, colorful dress up items for the costume tent, a sacred item for the heart altar and a heartfelt gift offering for the Sunday gift sharing circle.
We are having a talent show Friday night. Do you have an act you’d like to get on stage and share? Come ready and check in with Noah Stockdale to get on stage.
Volunteering Your Energy and Talent – This gathering is an opportunity for us to share our talents, love and gifts with our tribe. We invite all attendees to volunteer to help with food preparation and serving, greeting and parking, clean up and other activities to keep Camp LovEvolution running harmoniously.
If you would like to show up to help set up, come to Camp Hope on Thursday to tranform it into Camp LovEvolution. Check in with our volunteer coordinator, Aziza, on site to sign up for a volunteer role and make this gift flow with ease and grace!
For directions please register and purchase a ticket online by donation.
Event Location: The Gathering will be held in a well equipped campground called Camp Hope (Camp LovEvolution), located in the Pisgah National Forest 45 minutes West of Asheville, North Carolina. Address is 312 Camp Hope Road in Canton, NC. The most scenic drive is to take the Blue Ridge Parkway and exit on HWY 276 (Cruso Road) and go North for seven miles. See you at Camp LovEvolution!
Note – This is a drug and alcohol free event. After all, the true present is to be truly present.
Safety – To truly open up to each other and share intimately – trust and safety are essential. We ask that all participants share in the responsibility of creating a safe container for all by respecting the boundaries and wishes of others and holding this expectation for others. Anyone not respecting this safe container will be asked to amend their behavior or leave the event.
Pet Policy – Dogs are allowed on property but must be on a leash at all times, as required by the property owners. Only certified “service dogs” are allowed in the buildings.
Camping? Due to liability/danger from falling limbs from the dead Hemlock trees, the owners of the camp will not allow camping in the woods over night in tents or hammocks. Please tent camp in the camping field only. If you brought a hammock we’d be happy to offer you a free bunk bed in one of the bunk houses.
