A New World is Being Born.
As some are coming to realize, the word “apocalypse” comes from the Greek word “apokálypsis” which means the “lifting of the veil” – “to reveal what has been hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception”.
Hidden falsehood and misconception – does that sound familiar to you too? Could the veil that’s hidden the reality that our debt based system is killing the earth and its inhabitants finally be lifting? Are people awakening from the trance of cultural and media brainwashing and sensing the truth, within and around them? Then Hallelujah, bring on the Apocalypse!
Is this the “end times”? I hope so, if it is the end of debt enslavement, militarism, greed, governmental corruption, poison food, the destruction of mother earth . . . While I understand the impulse to stay “with the devil you know rather than the devil you don’t”, why cling to a crumbling edifice when we can co-create a new world that works for everyone?
Many Christians believe that the end times will be a time of judgment – a time when people will see the full truth about themselves. According to the Bible, for some facing the truth will be so anguishing they will wish for “the mountains to fall upon them”.
In John’s apocalypse, the Book of Revelation, he refers to the “unveiling” or “revelation” of Jesus Christ as Messiah. Will this great unveiling reveal the true Jesus Christ, the original long haired hippie who lived a life of unconditional love, universal peace and healed all, even those with no insurance and prior medical conditions?
I’m coming to see more clearly with each day the ways my own ignorance has hurt myself, others and the world. But more importantly, I’m waking up to see the possibilities of living robustly from my heart with love and compassion for myself and the beautiful Universe around me and within me.
In my heart, I pray that we will all awaken from the trance of illusion and deception and connect deeply to ourselves, each other and the Universe. When we transcend ego and separation and feel ourselves as one we will no longer be able to hurt one another or the earth.
It’s not enough for an enlightened few gurus to know these timeless and profound truths. It’s time for all of us to experience the Apocalypse and the end times and embrace the creation of a new world of cooperation, love and sharing.
We create our own Heaven or Hell. It’s time for us together to make it “be on earth as it is in Heaven”.
